CHICAGO BEARS @ OVERLOOK BAR, NYC
The BEARS won because of offense... it's not a typo! This is whole new season, the Bears are starting over and so are we at a new mid town location.
Overlook offered it's Bears fans a rare treat of enjoying the game on a projection screen as we watched on the roof deck.
The turnout of close to 40 die hards fans was enormous considering this was the Sunday 8pm game.
Unfortunately, we couldn't have game sound outside for the second half because of noise restrictions, but everyone fit nicely into the upstairs room for continued sound coverage.
The food was really good, and it was great to have bathrooms and bars on both floors. They promise to have the replacement bulb for the other projector ASAP.

Canal Bar is a fairly new (2 years old)"classy dive" bar. For all you from Chicago, this place will feel like home.
No kitchen, but we do have a backyard to grill and hang in , lots of specials, and of course we will be showing the Bears games every week!!!

We had a great turnout for our first game watch at the Big Easy! It was great to see a ton of regulars from last year and we welcomed a bunch of new faces to the crowd. Christine, our bartender from last year, followed the clubs transition to the Easy, and was even wearing an 85 Bears shirt! With over 80 fans for the first week we will continue to grow this into the wildest BEARS BAR anywhere. Tough game facing the Chargers in week one, but we'll kick ass next week vs. the Browns. The Browns bar is directly next door and they were out in full force last week, so there is potential for a lot of BEARS vs. BROWNS Beirut!BEAR DOWN. posted by flystef on 2007-09-13 11:20:44
